Are all your products Australian Made?
We provide art made by Indigenous inmates at the Bathurst Correctional Centre. All art pieces are delicately hand-crafted; from the carving of the wood to the intricate dot-paintings that come together to tell the Dreamtime.
Where do you source your products?
Our unique range of Indigenous art pieces is produced in The Girrawaa Arts Centre at Bathurst Correctional Centre, which was established to provide Indigenous inmates with a sense of cultural belonging, economic independence, and vocational workplace and business management skills. The inmates are taught by exceptional Indigenous artists, who host art classes and provide mentorship.
How much of the revenue do the inmates receive?
The inmates receive a weekly salary for working at the Centre, where they work 4 days producing art for sale, and a 5th 'free' day where they can practice their own art or projects, spend time with visiting elders, or take part in TAFE NSW education. The funds we send the Girrawaa to purchase the products help fund this program and their salary.
Our product margin from sales is then given back to the Centre to fund the purchase of materials and equipment for released offenders - meaning that 100% of the sales proceeds benefit current and released Indigenous inmates.
Is this a charity?
We're a not-for-profit organisation, The Bryant Foundation Limited (ACN 630 144 786). The organisation takes no salaries or expenses, so that all revenue from sales is passed back to the centre. You can read more about us here.
Can I make a donation?
We are not taking donations at this stage. Follow us on Facebook for more updates.
How can I pay for my order?
We accept payment for orders through PayPal, Credit & Debit cards.
Can I send my order as a gift?
Yes. Simply tick the appropriate box on the checkout page to send your order as a gift. All invoicing will go to the billing address with the confirmation email.
Can I change or cancel an order?
We aim to dispatch orders within 24 hours, to ensure you receive your item as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate your change if we receive a message before dispatching.
Will I get a tax invoice with my order?
Yes, we will send a tax invoice along with the order confirmation email to the billing address details you provide during checkout.
I have not received an order confirmation email?
If you do not receive your order confirmation email, please email us at email@example.com with your order number noting you did not receive this. We will then look into this for you.
